Christopher Jolly studied for a Masters Degree in Transport Studies at the University of Westminster, where his thesis subject was guided buses. He subsequently acted as an expert consultant on the subject for several transport consultancies.
His wider career has been in consumer marketing. He founded and manages Jolly Learning Ltd, publishers of the Jolly Phonics programme for teaching reading and literacy. First published over 20 years ago, the programme has fundamentally influenced the adoption of synthetic phonics and is widely used around the world.
Christopher Yapp is a highly experienced transport consultant specialising in public transport projects and the relationship between spatial and transport planning. He currently divides his time between providing expert advice on transport planning consultancy in the Far East and working as an independent consultant advising clients in the United Kingdom.
His career includes spells working in the planning department of a shire county, for a Passenger Transport Executive in Northern England and for a bus company. He has wide ranging experience that includes working on a number of guided bus feasibility studies.
